HERO 英雄

2003年8月24日（日曜日）のレイトショーで、『HERO』を観た。
ジェット・リーが主演している作品で、秦の始皇帝とその刺客「無名」との心理戦。もちろん心理戦の構成要素として武力戦がある。
ストーリーは同じ内容が違う形で繰り返されるあのパターンで、芥川龍之介の『藪の中』のような感じ。すごく映像美にこだわっていて、北野武の『Doll』のような色彩感を出している。ただ、美しい映像を見世物にしようという気持ちはわかるが、やはり色彩的に統一された美はあまり好きではない。おれはもっと写実的な映像美の方が好きらしい。もっと現実的に、もっと肉体的に、もっと内部に迫るような映像美を目指して欲しかった。評価としては「まぁまぁ」くらい。
